Control Systems

Objective:

  • ‘Control Systems’ course deals with system design and analysis, both time-domain and frequency -domain using various techniques.

Course Outcomes

At the end of this course, students will be able to

Understand the basic components of control systems.

Differentiate between closed loop and open loop systems.

Reduce a signal flow graph and identify the transfer function of a system.

Familiarize about time-domain characteristics of a system.

Familiarize about frequency-domain characteristics of a system.

Understand the needs of stability analysis.

Understand the basics of Routh-Hurwitz stability analysis, root locus technique, Nyquist plot, Bode-plot, etc.,

Optimize a system using compensators and controllers.

Topics covered!!!
